Planning applications for large housing projects, planning drawings for new house types, apartments and refurbishment of large existing buildings into apartments i.e. Ormskirk grammar school and commercial schemes under their JGB investments arm of the company. I also carried out the working drawings of all elements of construction, this included building regulations drawings to on site advice and guidance to ensure there was no delays on site.All my drawings, details and specification were produced with the Q.S and buying department and the various contractors to guarantee the most appropriate building methods were adopted for all areas to cover cost control, use of materials and construction in line with current building regulations, code assessments, BREAM, SAPs and accredited details.

I met new clients and discussed their options, clients requirements varied from house extensions, new build plots and the redesign of previously produced designs by others. I discussed our fees, produced the planning drawings through to full working drawings including specification. I was given the complicated projects as I enjoy a challenge, if there was any issues with any projects undertaken by my colleagues I was asked to find a solution to minimise disruption to Site operatives, the client and MCK.Most of my work has been domestic working with large scale developers for example: ‘Taylor Woodrow’, ‘Dorbcrest Homes’, ‘Blackthorn Homes’, ‘Rowland Homes’ and ‘Wainhomes’. My speciality has been refurbishment work, having completed numerous barn conversions and ‘Berry Hill Hall’ which is a country house that we converted into 24 luxury apartments including one estimated at just under 1million pounds that won a design award. By the same token I have completed full working drawings on large scale new build apartments in traditional masonry, timber frame and steel frame constructions.Away from domestic I had completed works on a diving centre.I had been offered a position as a director but decided see what its like to work for a developer and experience how they operated in house.
