• Support Supply Chain Manager in managing Kings College Hospitals supply chain operation.• Ensure that supply chain team provides steady supply of daily consumables to 200 departments in the hospital.• Manage and motivate team of 27 inventory coordinators and supervisors. Including recruitment of new staff, appraisals, performance related issues, disciplinary matters as well as managing annual leave, sickness and training needs.• Manage team’s performance ensuring that Supply Chain KPI’s and procedures are met and followed.• Participate and lead in supply chain projects, such as opening of new 60 bed critical care unit and Trust wide stock reduction plan.• Engage with wards, departments and procurement team to plan, develop and implement product changes within the single department or whole Trust. Advise end users on product shortages and possible alternatives.• Engage with wards and departments to make sure that stock reviews are being done regularly and efficiently, to optimize and decrease expenditure.• Help and advice in developing Supply Chain procedures and policies. For example auditing, stock take, training etc.• Plan, advise and implement storage and inventory solutions for hospital departments and wards.• Liaise and develop stronger working relationships with various suppliers.• Work closely with procurement, finance and systems departments to make sure that our company can provide reliable and efficient service.• Plan, advice and support the implementation of new supply chain systems and solutions. As well as maintain current ones.• Participate in operational meetings and provide help and advice on Supply Chain matters to clinical, managerial and other stakeholders.• Investigate Adverse Incidents raised against service we provide and put measures in place to avoid the same issues repeating in future.• Helped to develop Major incident procedure, am making sure that emergency stock is always ready to be deployed if needed by A&E.
