Business Analyst for the USCU team (US Credit Unions), worked with the Business Analysts of Integrasys, who own the ‘Premier’ financial package, offering US Credit Unions fully integrated financial solutions. Worked closely with US clients, documented requirements, wrote Scope documents & Business Specs, took part in reviews, system testing and feedback results and change requirements to the technical team, based both in the US and Ireland. All issues & resolutions tracked, documented and followed up. My role covered the older Mainframe based version of the Premier product, plus the new web based Premier New Generation. Designing screens for this product has entailed learning some Visual Studio .NET technology.Consultant on the Outsourcing project (Global Competitive Resourcing), whereby Development and Production Support work from the EDS Sydney office was resourced by the office in Chennai, India and vetted by the EDS Dublin office.My role was to act as Technical Leader for the project. The client was the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). The two projects I covered, were Demand Deposits (equivalent to Current Account bank processing) and EFTPOS (Electronic Funds Transfer Point of Sale), which included POS, POB (Point of Banking) and ATM’s. My responsibility was to manage the Production Support & Development elements of the team based in India, and liaise with the Subject Matter Experts and Project Managers in Sydney, Australia. Provide estimates and completion dates for statements of work, have them agreed with Sydney and the client, assign the work to India, review the coding, test plans and test results of the completed tasks, before passing the modules back to Sydney for User Acceptance Testing.Technical Environment : COBOL, CICS/COBOL, TSO/ISPF, Endevor, JCL, Fileaid, Vantive CAMS, Clearquest, XCOM, on an IBM z/OS v1 R2 platform. Also used MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project. Also many EDS processes, e.g. SCL3, QMS, GSMS.

euroConex Technologies (now Elavon) is a Credit Card Acquiring institution, part owned by Bank of Ireland and Nova Technologies from the USA. I worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer on the mCore project, looking after all the Mainframe system and the Production and development and enhancement processing for the online and batch mainframe systems. This covered the acquiring and processing of credit and debit card transactions from all of Bank of Ireland merchants, the updating of core databases, passing the information through to other internal systems and to other banking institutions, including Visa, Mastercard and Amex, and producing Merchant Statements.The first task was the migration of the mCore System from Nova Corp in America, to euroConex in Arklow, then to get the system up and running in production, to handle all the merchants in Ireland and Europe, and to support the system and upgrade it. I was also responsible for the analysis, coding, testing and successful implementation of the Visa and Mastercard October compliance changes, all implemented on schedule.Technical Environment : COBOL, CICS/COBOL, SAS, Vision Plus, TSO/ISPF, on an IBM MVS/OS390 platform. Also used MS Word, MS Excel.
