As a Technical Officer in the Food Assurance team I have been able to further develop my technical skills in the lab and planning trials, as well as my organisation and communication skills following trials through all stages and reporting on results. I have also been taking a more active role in Health and Safety with my appointment as a Health and Safety Rep for the microbial laboratory workers in September 2016.

I was part of the Food Assurance team for the past eight months and was able to develop exceptional lab-based skills as well as technical planning for trials. As a customer service officer I was involved in all parts of the Post Office system, from posting, bill payment, registration, and Kiwibank operations. I had training in money handling, fraudulent practise identification, foreign currency, and national banking practises. I worked hard to serve each customer to the best of my ability in a timely and courteous manner as well as helping members of my team as required.
