I'm an experienced digital leader with an extensive career in government transformation, service delivery, and assurance in the digital, data and technology profession. I am currently Head of Product and Experience at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.I provide expert advice on meeting the Service Standard, helping colleagues at all levels from practitioner to senior leader understand the principles of agile, user-centred design, secure and resilient technology, delivering services that work for all. I have a particular interest in improving efficiency of digital tools within government – as Service Owner for GDS's Civil Service Digital project, I helped demonstrate the potential for applying agile ways of working and user-centred design to common tools supporting our staff.I have extensive experience leading and working in multidisciplinary teams, supporting product development and the broader user experience community. I have strong stakeholder engagement skills, am a confident and effective communicator and recognised lead in my discipline. I'm a strong advocate of matrix and community working practices, and work happily with blended teams of civil servants, contractors and suppliers.I have volunteered with Sibs, a charity supporting brothers and sisters of disabled people, as a digital trustee, chair of directors and now honorary President for over 10 years.
