I leapt over the client desk to become a consultant almost 15 years ago, following a thorough grounding at Diageo, GSK & Nestle in marketing and innovation roles. That experience of the practicalities of client-side businesses – and the hard work that goes on once the consultants leave the room – enables me to bring a deeply commercial and pragmatic approach (as well as boundless energy) to my projects and recommendations. These include:- Creating a strategy for a major apparel company to win in natural and sustainable materials- Developing an approach to innovation strategy and concept pipeline development that has led to norm-busting results and been adopted as global best practice in one of the world’s largest consumer healthcare companies;- Helping unleash the lunch occasion for PepsiCo, leading to a ground-breaking campaign.Prior to founding The Forge, I was MD at a consultancy in the US and have worked across pretty much every category you can think of (except cars. I don't understand cars)I also have a degree in Theology. Which is no use to anyone if we are being honest. But at least it was fun for meWhen away from the office, you’ll most likely find me on water or snow, probably standing on (or falling off) some sort of boardOn here, you will find me talking about all sorts - but usually related to strategy, innovation and insight - interspersed with other things I am passionate about - culture, mental health and secondary buying and selling
