Delegate For European Government Affairs
I represent the company on all European policy and legislative issues, advising senior management, advocating to the EU institutions and providing technical assessment on the effect of regulation.My primary focus is advocacy to the European Parliament, Council and Commission on CO2 emissions for light and heavy duty vehicles as well as pollutant emission standards. All my advocacy is strongly evidence based using technical assessment to demonstrate impacts to policy makers and advise the company of the effects of potential legislation. A key factor in generating leverage is cooperation with automotive OEMs and other suppliers, bilaterally, through our sectoral trade association CLEPA and with the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU.Additional key policy areas in my focus are Brexit, trade policy, substances and chemicals regulation, taxation. Also under my responsibility is managing opportunities in collaborative funded EU research and innovation.
