As an OHS professional I look for practical ways to help Victorian Businesses achieve the Safest Workplace standards possible. As a Manager of a team of OHS Inspectors in regional Victoria I pride myself on utilising all levers to achieve highest possible safety standards, these range from targeted Inspections, presentations to stakeholders, developing OHS focused regional networks, one on one discussions to define compliance.I have been able to use the fact that a workplace accident left me a paraplegic. I constantly use the story of my accident to personalise the consequences of workplace injuries, thereby driving the importance of Workplace Safety, resulting in sustainable safety changes.I take great pride in being able to minimize the impacts of paraplegia on my lifestyle. I strive to be a positive role model for all and enjoy working and volunteering with organisations such as Sailability to help others realise the importance of acceptance of those with disabilities.
