I focus on services for client families and, especially, family offices, with many of my clients coming from the Middle East. I bring to bear my experience in helping wealthy clients, their families, trusts and family offices from a variety of different angles. That experience enables me to coordinate and deliver what the client needs, whilst working together with other professionals and appreciating what they bring to the table. I have spent over 40 years looking after high net worth private clients and their families, working in Big 4 accountancy firms, law firms and private banking. Having specialised in private client tax for many years, I left PwC in 2005 initially to become Head of Private Client Tax at Ansbacher, where I also gained an investment management qualification. My work has since broadened, particularly in the areas of family trusts and family offices; I was one of the founding principals at New Quadrant Partners, looking after the firm’s trust management services, before becoming Head of UK Fiduciary at Kleinwort Hambros. I then joined Farrer & Co, with a very broad family office remit. My clients are multi-national, but many are from the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia.I hold STEP and IMC qualifications. I take a particular interest in investment manager performance and selection (I was one of the judging panel for the Private Asset Managers (PAM) Awards for several years), as well as family governance and succession management.
