As an integral member of the Share Radio Team and a key Presenter and Broadcaster, I fulfilled multiple roles during the successful organisation, preparation and launch of this new station, offering live political, financial and consumer current affairs content. My role since has been to present the popular drive-time programme: ‘The Evening Show’, engaging in the critical examination of business, economics and markets; international and domestic politics; film finance; travel and technology. I also conduct in-depth, insightful interviews with leading financial, political, economic and academic professionals, authors, entrepreneurs and commentators.

A multi-talented and adaptable professional, my creative contribution incorporates freelance journalism, authorship and screenwriting. I am the author and co-author of 14 books, including:‘Fair Shares: A Layman’s Guide to Buying Stocks and Shares’ ‘The Shareholder: The Truth About Wider Share Ownership’ ‘Filthy Lucre’ (novel)‘Dad Stuff: Shedloads of Ideas for Dads’‘Utter Zebu: The Shocking Lies We’re Told Every Day’‘Filthy Lucre’ was reviewed as ‘A glorious first novel’ by The Times; and ‘Dad Stuff: Shedloads of Ideas for Dads’ was an Amazon #1 title, featuring in a four-part series on the ‘Richard and Judy’ show.I was Screenwriter and Executive Producer of ‘The Flying Scotsman’, starring Jonny Lee Miller and Brian Cox. It was the opening film at the Edinburgh Film Festival 2006 and was nominated for 5 Scottish BAFTA awards, including for Best Screenplay. I am also a recipient of the Orange Prize for Screenwriting.As a freelance journalist, I have worked in radio and TV journalism, principally for the BBC. I initiated the highly successful ‘Business News’ segment on ‘The Today Programme’. I also published the ‘Shareholder Magazine’, presented ‘The Rose Report’ for ITV's ‘The City Programme’ and wrote a weekly column for the ‘Sunday Times’. In print, I was the money columnist for ‘Punch’ magazine for 8 years, edited ‘Barclayshare’ and ‘Proshare’ magazines and was stock market advisor to The Consumers Association. My writing has appeared in The Telegraph, The Times, The Express, The Mail, The Standard, Empire Magazine, Harpers & Queen and more.

As Spokesman for this savers' campaign group, I used my communication and promotional skills to represent the organisation on programmes such as Newsnight, The Moral Maze, the Keiser Report, the Jeremy Vine show, R4 Today, Channel 4 News, Sky News, the World at One and Radio 5 Live. As Campaign Director, I also created and implemented multiple targeted campaign strategies, including the organisation of two much-reported demonstrations outside the Bank of England, successfully raising the SOS profile and extolling SOS philosophies. This involved liaison with MPs and MEPs and providing expert QE evidence to the Treasury Select Committee. The figures I calculated demonstrated the extent of the transfer of wealth from savers to borrowers and was widely accepted and used by the media. I spearheaded social media interaction, provided research and quotations to support journalists and wrote the regular SOS newsletters and online blogs.

I provided expert, insightful and witty film reviews for the BBC’s network of local radio stations through multiple weekly two-way broadcasts, building upon my experience reviewing for the Daily Mirror, GMTV, Radio 1, Radio 5 Live, Sky News, Classic FM and more.

As Founder and Managing Director of the Interactive Motion Picture Company, I was responsible for the creation of the world’s first interactive film. Somewhat ahead of its time (and BT's broadband rollout), it nonetheless made worldwide news, featuring on the front page of the Guardian and on American TV reports. I was responsible for the motivational and creative leadership of 10 regular staff, climbing to 30 during productions. Our first film, ‘Running Time’, made in collaboration with creative director Simon Beaufoy (‘The Full Monty’, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’), was nominated for a BAFTA.
