CurrentOperations Superintendent-FCC Environmental Units • Responsible for the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of HOVENSA’s FCC Environmental Complex to include Sulfur Plants, Sour Water Strippers, Beavon Units, Flares, and Wastewater Treating Complexes. Operations Superintendent for six months prior to obtain the Superintendent position after a rigorous interviewing process. • Ensured compliance with OSHA Standards to include facility siting, storage of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals/material, NFPA standards and Material Safety Data Sheets. Also ensured compliance with EPA regulations as it relates to the treatment, storage and disposal of Hazardous waste. • Initiated Project Initiation Reviews to include off island reviews to ensure the projects meet HOVENSA’s standards and specifications; as well as reviews of the electrical and mechanical integrity of all equipment according civil and structural requirements.• Worked with the Facility Engineering Group in the review of PIR’s as well as generating Engineering Work Requests (EWR’s) for upgrading existing fixed and rotating equipment, correction of structural deficiencies, civil projects and repairs. • Acted as member of Emergency Response Team coordinating and lead refinery evacuation exercises and prepared reports for upper management reviews that illustrated opportunities for improvement.Process Shift Supervisor-FCC Environmental Units • Responsible for the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of HOVENSA’s FCC Environmental Complex to include Sulfur Plants, Sour Water Strippers, Beavon Units, Flares, and Wastewater Treating Complexes.Acting Process Shift Supervisor-West Environmental Complex • Responsible for the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of the West Sulfur Plant and Wastewater Treating Complex.
