This is a UBC Vancouver Work Learn Position. The role is under the Health Promotion and Education unit of Student Health. Health Promotion & Education (HP & E) provides leadership on health promotion and health education strategies and programs for the UBC Vancouver campus. Through innovative and evidence-based practices, HP & E creates and facilitates opportunities for students to be part of a healthy university community, to learn health-based skills, and to develop their leadership for a healthier campus.I work directly with the unit and unit partners to engage students from across campus in wellness related events and activities.

I had two separate contracts and I worked during the summer and the winter holiday season. I proactively engaged with customers and responded effectively and respectfully to help meet their expectations while consistently hitting sales target. I have experience assisting with cash wrap, back room, and the on the sales floor. I was working from May 2018 to August 2018, November 2018 to Jan 2019

- Worked in a 4 Member team to lead 100 student leaders in community building and advocacy development, - Managed communication, collaborations and acting as an information liaison between RHA and other UBC campus organizations- Re-developed social media under RHA name to develop brand recognition, increased social media following on Instagram by 200% and Facebook by 125%, increased engagement on all social media including increasing traffic to RHA website- Supported RHA advocacy initiatives and area councils in their advocacy endeavours.- Supported redevelopment of 5 day training program for our members and it was recognized on its success, awarded Top Program of the Year despite stiff competition from colleges across US and Canada

Orchard Commons is a new residence that is opening Fall 2016 for first year students. OCRA will be working to build community for the residents, connecting first year students to opportunities and advocating on behalf of students. As Vice President, I will be liasing between the OCRA and organizations external to the OCRA, assisting in the creation and maintenance of all social media publications and overseeing the administrative duties.

The Place Vanier provides housing accommodations to upcoming first years. The Place Vanier Residence Association (PVRA) is the student organization that is responsible for creating an atmosphere in Place Vanier community and the Place Vanier Residence Association that is not only fun and inclusive, but a place of lasting connections and communication. The organization does this by planning superior events, assisting with residence advisor programs and organizing sports leagues.As Vice President, I help supervises and directs PVRA council meetings and activities in the absence of the President, takes minutes at meetings, maintains and improve liaisons between PVRA and external organizations. I am also responsible for the social media content and marketing for Vanier-wide events.

Imagine UBC and the University's first year transition programs serve as new students' formal welcome and orientation to the University, an invocation to the learning community they have joined. Imagine UBC helps students begin to find a community at UBC, feel supported from their first day on campus and through their first year, and provides a beginning to a learning experience that will challenge, stimulate and prepare them to achieve their goals and meet the challenges of our local and global communities.Imagine UBC is coordinated through the Centre for Student Involvement and Careers within the Vice President, Students' portfolio working in collaboration with staff, faculty and students from across the University in the development and implementation of the program.The Orientation Leader position provides direct peer support to a cohort of first year students.

I helped found the first Canadian Chapter of the Service Organization Alpha Phi Omega, which was officially chartered on December 13, 2015. As the first Membership Vice President, I lead membership recruitment efforts throughout the summer and helped plan membership recruitment during the fall and exceeded expectations by recruiting 40+ members.
