Erika qualified as a solicitor over 25 years ago, originally practising in London as a litigator, initially in private practice and then as in house counsel to a number of FTSE 100 companies. She latterly retrained into private client and became a full member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners in 2012, having obtained a distinction in the prestigious STEP Diploma. Erika has a diverse range of skills, having managed a national private client team at a large national law firm based in Leeds, as well as having a broad depth of knowledge and experience in the private client field. Her drive however, is to support her clients in achieving their goals, and to help them navigate their way through what is often regarded as a technically challenging legal and tax environment.Erika specialises in all aspects of private client work including wills, trusts, complex estate and succession planning and all aspects of trust and estate administration (Probate) including associated tax advice. In addition, she has expertise in advising clients on the law relating to mental capacity, lasting powers of attorney, and Court of Protection matters including acting as a professional deputy. Erika has lived in York with her husband for the last 20 years, and is just starting to enjoy some spare time, as both her grown up children are now settling in London. Erika enjoys pilates, interior design, reading and spending time with friends and family.
