CurrentI purchased this insurance agency with intentions to keep it at arm's length, as a residual income generating investment. I already operated another small business, my resources spread thin. I soon realized that I was going to have to be hands on if this business was ever going to live up to its true potential. Insurance is more complex than clients realize, and insurance providers LOVE IT THAT WAY. Add on that industry service levels are innately poor, and it became clear that the real opportunity here was not to let the business run as it always had, but rather to upend the "tried and true" and embark on proving it can (and should) be done differently. As a result, our ability to respond in a timely manner, day or night, weekday or weekend, has made us a savior to the long-term clients we acquired, and we've proven a formidable competitor in the course of earning new ones. Yet, in 2017, only our second year at the helm, we were the 3rd fastest growing agency in our entire 50 agent region.
