The Environmental Financial Advisory Board (EFAB) provides ideas and advice to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Administrator and program offices on ways to lower the costs of and increase investments in environmental and public health protection. EFAB's work focuses on: lowering the cost of environmental protection; removing financial and programmatic barriers that raise costs; increasing public and private contribution in environmental facilities and services; and building state and local financial ability to meet environmental laws.

Resilient Infrastructure for Sustainable Communities (RISC, www.risc.solutions) is a network of public sector professionals focused on climate resiliency via delivery and finance of market-based green stormwater infrastructure across the Great Lakes region. Comprised of municipal, state, and federal climate resilience leaders, the network leverages its shared experience to offer a framework that leads to projects that improve water quality, climate resiliency, and positive socio-economic impacts. RISC is about scaling-up green stormwater infrastructure across the Great Lakes states. As of October 2023, RISC was comprised of representatives from nearly two-dozen cities that included Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Grand Rapids. South Bend, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, etc. RISC is credited with helping initiate two of the largest investments in green stormwater infrastructure across the nation (a $54 Million environmental impact bond for Buffalo Sewer Authority, and a $49 Million (includes $20 Million in Phase II) community-based partnership for Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District). In November 2023, social network incubator Green Infrastructure Leadership Exchange (https://giexchange.org/) started managing the RISC network.
