Football Coach
CurrentAlongside my role as a Sports Coach at Shine, I also have the responsibility of coaching various age groups of the Shine Girls football teams. This involves planning practices for training sessions, leasing with players' parents and other league managers and coaching on a match day.Furthermore, I also coach at two of Shine's Weetabix Wildcats Centres which aims to engage more girls into football and offer them opportunities to have fun and make friends.
Wellbeing Coordinator
My role as Wellbeing Coordinator revolved around working closely with HR to implement ideas to help enhance staff morale and motivation. By listening to ideas of the Shine Workforce through a Staff Survey we have conducted, we could then focus on putting those things in reality and adding value to the work lives of colleagues.
Girls Football Coordinator
This role allowed me to use my passion of growing the female game to engage as many girls as I can into football. By leading the Shine Pumas Football Club, I managed a team of 6 coaches to deliver top quality sessions, advertise and recruit players and liaise with parents, schools and managers of other local teams.
Sports Coach
Working in Primary Schools around Bristol, my role as a sports coach revolved around offering safe and fun lunchtime, PE and after school club sessions for children aged 4-11.Building positive relationships with children was at the forefront of my job and through engaging in play and conversation during their lunchtimes gave me the opportunity to do that.I also had to ensure positive relationships were made with the school and ensure we were working together to deliver PE as part of the National Curriculum.
Girls Coaching Centre Coach
Acc Assistant U12S Lead & U14 Assistant Coach
U12 Development Centre Coach
Acc Mentee Coach
Having been selected to be part of the ACC Coach Mentee Programme during the 2020/21 season, I was working with a coaching team in charge of the under 12’s age group. This involved planning and delivering sessions while receiving coaching support throughout the season.
Customer Assistant
My role as a festive colleague has enabled me to implement my communication skills whilst providing excellent customer service during the Coronavirus pandemic. A key responsibility of mine has been a front-of-store greeter maintaining health and safety of customers and colleagues alike.
Women'S Football Academy Assistant Coach
Coaching in the Hartpury Women’s Football Academy exposed me to working with top players within an elite talent pathway alongside an experienced coaching team.
Fa Women'S Football Apprentice
Working as part of a national cohort of ECFA apprentices, my time in this role was spent working towards the FA’s Gameplan for Growth while exceeding targets set by AoC Sport. Through contacting local stakeholders, engaging and managing a workforce of student volunteers and coaching girls-only football sessions in primary schools, I was able to engage over 150 new females in football. I achieved this alongside completing a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. A large part of my role involved working towards projects that would be run at both a national and local level, such as relaunching the Wildcats centre and a new project aiming to grow the amount of female participants in the FE sector.
Customer Assistant
My part time customer assistant role helped me learn how to manage my time effectively as I was still studying at college and had to balance my paid work and college work successfully. I feel that I developed great customer service skills during this front facing role as I regularly interacted with customers, dealing with their requests to the best of my ability. This role helped me to take a proactive approach to my work as I often had to use my initiative in such a fast-paced environment. I gained experience at handling deliveries and replenishment as well as learning the importance of working well as part of a team.
