Provides all branding and communication strategies for Ontario Region with an emphasis on communications and public relations activities, both external and internal. Manages, oversees and develops strategies to enhance Children's Wish public image. Responsible for establishing relationships with members of the media, pitching stories to publications and monitoring media coverage; identifying key messages and communicating them to potential alliance partners and donors. Also oversees production of internal and external materials such as brochures, press releases, web copy, newsletters and executive presentations.• Works with the Regional Director, Development and Marketing as a key contributor to the strategic planning process •Manages the strategy, editorial planning and community management for Children's Wish, Ontario Region's corporate social media channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram• Develops, executes and evaluates the annual communication strategy, plan and budget in alignment with organizational goals and directions•Supports Children's Wish leadership team in communicating vision, mission and strategic directions to media and stakeholder audiences •Proactively manages issues and provides issues management advice and support •Mentors a small team to further develop key skills in digital media and media • Acts as the primary brand owner and defines strategies to promote and build brand equity •Evaluates and reports on the success of communications programs
