I have extensive experience leading teams to develop top-notch consumer products, such as the Apex series of golf clubs and all of Callaway Golf’s irons and hybrids, which held the #1 market share for multiple years. My product-related efforts included innovation, industrial design concepts, detailed CAD, analysis, and supplier-led production efforts to launch products to the golf community successfully. I have consistently achieved 5-star ratings in trade magazines and led the design of the Apex CF ’16, which defined the Player’s Distance category. I have demonstrated R&D leadership by establishing cross-functional teams to innovate and develop golf clubs. To support multi-year launches, these teams addressed the cost of goods sold, product performance, in-store appearance, and tour variants. My responsibilities included competitor analysis, shape creation, benchmarking activities, product placement, and product conformance from Asia-based suppliers. Additionally, I handled budgeting, expense tracking, capital acquisition, hiring, personnel evaluation, and development activities. I am skilled at implementing design processes to track status, content, and timelines in a fast-paced development process using Teamcenter Unified, Knowledge Fusion, NX, and other Siemens software. I also developed a measurement process that integrated CMM, center of gravity, and moment of inertia devices to qualify first-article consumer products. Furthermore, I released a custom optical measurement system to verify product performance by golfers in Callaway Performance Centers worldwide and R&D testing (CPAS – Callaway Performance Analysis System).
