Created and maintained website for bricks-and-mortar subsidiary, Create A Video. Road-mapped a major server transition from Windows Server 2008r2 to a TurnKey Linux Amazon EC2 Instance. R&D a live streaming feature (similar to Facebook Live) to add to existing Android & Apple apps. Prototype was successful. Pricing models made the actual application financially unattainable, however.

Six Month Contract Position - Worked as a part of a select team to perform a feasibility study for modernizing the high-speed image capture rate for real-time monitoring of various manufacturing processes. Their system (at the time) was only capable of capturing 30 frames per second. Industry standards and competitor capabilities were closer to 512 fps.At the end of the six month term, the team had determined that utilizing a third-party for both hardware components and software was the most cost effective way to modernize their applications. While the implementation was more costly, the reduced volume of post-sales of service related issues proved this to be a viable business model.

FARA (www.curefa.org) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the research and development of the disease Friedreich’s Ataxia. They have robust support, and their website is high functioning. It was rebuilt from five different web properties. Some higher-end functions include donation collection, event registration and archiving and a mass email generator.

Estate Resources was an informational website for the death industry. Converted the Owner’s printed book to an online version, to inform interested parties about the nuances of managing a loved one’s estate. Also, offers a commercial services directory for businesses in and associated with the death industry, or managing an estate. In addition, the site offers pay-to-play display advertising.

Before I launched Smart Website Development, I had been self-employed as a general contractor in the residential construction industry. Prior to that, I spent fourteen years working for several companies in the custom, in-ground swimming pool industry. My experience working in the swimming pool industry allowed me to become proficient in a number of other construction trades as well as become established as a supervisor and job coordinator. This knowledge had enabled me to expand the scope of my business to include general contracting. My experience includes not only extensive hands-on work in various trades but I am also well versed in business management essentials that include estimating, costing, coordinating, scheduling, hiring and budget management. By remaining flexible and adaptable regardless of unforeseen events such as changing job site conditions, unsettled weather conditions, coordinating and scheduling subcontractors, etc., I was able to sharpen the decision-making skills that are necessary to keep projects on schedule and within budget as each project evolves to completion. In combination, these work experiences have allowed me to become a successful general contractor and business owner.
