An enabler, mentor, and leader with 15+ years of experience in science promotion, communication and business development. I have a Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore with a history of working in the biotechnology industry at the start of my career trajectory followed by great stints in the field of science administration, management and communication, empowering researchers at each of these steps. At CACTUS, I am responsible for growing the business of different brand offerings ofCACTUS across academic, and government sector by engaging with decision makers and introducing them to CACTUS legacy, ethos, capabilities; networking and cultivating relationships; and unearthing and developing areas of opportunities in line with CACTUS's service offerings. The other major responsibility is conceptualization and execution of thought leadership initiatives in India to position CACTUS as the leading brand in Researcher Support and Science Communication by building thought leadership, influence, and engagement with key stakeholders in the government and academia. Prior to joining CACTUS, I led IndiaBioscience for five plus years and was responsible for establishing the strategic vision and partnerships; growth, fundraising, grants and team management; and overseeing the activities of the networking, communication, education, data & policy and skill-building verticals. Skilled in working with diverse groups of people, both nationally and internationally. I am also experienced in driving small as well as large, multi-institutional teams. I have a strong-knit network of varied stakeholders, including the head of institutions and the key policymakers in the government in the life science research sector in India. I am passionate about 'Careers in Science', 'Mentoring', and developing courses for 'professional development'. I was a recipient of #IRMI Research Management Grant of India Alliance. I am a member of the review group for the programs and activities of NCSTC, DST, GoI and an invited member of the advisory group set up for Resource Book on Biographies of 75 Women Scientists by DST, GoI. I am also a member (PSA nominee) of the advisory committee set up to monitor the development of content aggregation and working scripts for 52 episodes of “Weekly Popular Science & Technology Programme to be produced jointly by Vigyan Prasar & Sansad TV” as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.I am a simple person at heart who loves nature, embroidery, painting, books and traveling.
