Employed within this role based on proven ability to provide leadership in scheduling and planning, I project manage large-scale capital and contestable works.This includes reviewing work methodology, rates and timelines for feasibility, and completing all aspects of planning, including identifying contractors and civil works required to complete projects.I also lodge applications to United Energy in regards to planned works, develop bills of materials and delivery to site, and coordinate other requirements such as traffic control.Ensuring work distributions reflect workforce budget targets, I allocate work across up to 12 linesmen, in crews of up to five, and conduct audits, and pre- and post-works site inspections.Safety-focused, I ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and company policies, and conduct and actively participate in crew and team meetings.Most notably I have recently been involved in works associated with the Level Crossing Removal Project. With an allocated budget of AUD$2.4b in 2015/16, this Victorian Government project will see the removal of 50 dangerous level crossings across the state by 2022.

Employed on the AMI Smart Metering Project, initially as a subcontractor and subsequently as a Field Supervisor, I was promoted to the role of Field Services Manager.This final role involved the coordination of up to 60 field service contractors and six field service supervisors, in the completion of AMI Smart Meter installations.Overseeing the scheduling and training of field service contractors, I monitored both budget and performance to ensure critical milestones, HSEQ standards and company policies were achieved.Maintaining and developing customer relationships, I conducted meetings in regards to the progress of installations, and responded to enquiries and escalated issues, including complaints.

Employed on the AMI Metering Project as a subcontractor, I initially worked for Electrix/SP Austnet and subsequently for Service Stream/Jemena.A largely self-managed and autonomous role, as an Installer I collected work orders and required materials, and planned and scheduled allocated work to residential and commercial properties. This included conducting installations in both metropolitan and rural areas, travelling up to five hours to site.Liaising with clients and project managers, I ensured the timely completion of all works, as well as compliance with Australian Standards, HSEQ standards and company policies.

Commencing as an Electrician I was promoted to the role of Service Manager, coordinating the completion of all works.This included responding to calls from a client base of 290 customers, primarily within high-rise constructions, as well as developing quotes, scheduling works and allocating personnel to jobs.In addition, I conducted subcontractor recruitment, mentoring and training, oversaw progress achievement of revenue targets, and ensured compliance with HSEQ and company standards.Most notably I doubled the company’s turnover during my tenure, and implemented real time payments to resolve prior debt collection issues.
