I acted as liaison for all KU IT project teams that want feedback on research response to proposed IT changes. I maintained Linux and Windows servers used by researchers on campus for a variety of academic and scientific research needs. I engineered creative and supportable solutions to unique challenges presented by campus groups when standard services are insufficient. I worked with the IT security office to ensure we meet regulatory requirements presented by Federal, State, and University policies and laws. We specialized in supporting Linux systems (RHEL, CENTOS, Scientific Linux, Ubuntu, Debian) for users on campus while still complying with dynamic inventory, SSO, and data storage requirements set by both the state of Kansas, and federal granting agencies.
