My practice focuses on the areas of domestic and foreign patent and trademark drafting and prosecution; clearance, validity, and infringement investigations, analysis, and opinions; trade secret counseling; IP portfolio development and management; development and licensing agreements; IP due diligence in support of M&A activities; and patent litigation, including civil litigation in district courts, Inter Partes Reviews before the PTAB, and ITC Section 337 investigations.With experience in the electrical, mechanical, and chemical arts, I work with a wide array of clients, including solo inventors, start-ups, and Fortune 500 companies to draft and prosecute patents and trademarks, counsel on trade secrets, build strategic IP portfolios, and draft and revise development, confidentiality, and licensing agreements. I handle patent matters in material sciences, microelectronics, semiconductors, integrated circuit design, computer software, circuitry, metrology, chip packaging, electrical testing, mobile electronics, chemical formulae, LEDs, computer software and hardware, medical devices, financial services, electronic trading platforms, e-commerce, virtualization technologies, semiconductors, microelectronics, cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, on-line gaming, internet browsing, networking, and business methods. I enjoy interacting with inventors and developing legal strategies that ensure their innovations receive the most comprehensive protection available.Working with corporate attorneys, I perform IP due diligence for transactions and M&A activities, including reviewing IP portfolios, preparing due diligence memoranda, and reviewing/revising asset purchase agreements and other closing documents.Utilizing my technical expertise, I represent plaintiffs and defendants patent in infringement matters in federal district courts, Inter Partes Reviews before the PTAB, and ITC Section 337 investigations. In addition to provide analysis of asserted patents, infringement, and validity issues, I draft complaints, briefs, motions, and responses for filing.I earned my J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law and received my B.S., in Chemical Engineering with a certificate in Biology, from Drexel University. I am admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and also admitted to the bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey (inactive).
