Math Teacher And Professional Learning Community Lead
Current*Develop Algebra 2 curriculum/Unit lessons. *Facilitate meetings once a week to discuss lesson plans and assessments.*Lead conversations regarding student data and how it influences instruction.*Support group members in implementation of lessons and analyzing student data. *Monitor shared google drive which contains necessary resources for lesson development, grading expectations, data analysis and additional shared content.*Develop standard and math practice based lessons that address the conceptual understanding and procedural flow of the content.*Promote mathematical reasoning, discourse, and culturally relevant activities.*Organize physical resources to facilitate positive learning experiences where a growth mindset and productive struggle are encouraged.*Assess, record, and communicate student progress while also using that data to guide future instructional activities and assessments one to three times a week.*Collaborate with the members of my professional learning community (PLC) to analyze the data from common assessments, discuss trends, and how to proceed with future instruction.*Support colleagues with developing activities/structures that promote student engagement.*Teach 30-43 students per class in Algebra 2 and College Prep Mathematics. *Facilitate Workshop Sessions for our Freshmen Connections Academy to support their transition from middle school.
