Main duties: Manage the Hovione Research Program (PhD, MSc and international candidates) including recruiting, hiring and managing students and interns. Establish preferred collaborations with national and international research institutions to expand the company reach to new knowledge and research capacity, while preserving the company interests in terms of intellectual property. Maximize access to external funding for Innovation projects. Establish robust processes and governance models to manage Ideation and approved Innovation projects, that assure stakeholder alignment, clear definition of roles and responsibilities, stage gate reviews, portfolio management, among others. Manage resources allocation and assign team members responsibilities for specific tasks Oversee direct reports activities, assuring that they have the right resources and the right knowledge to do their job and reach the defined objectives. Identify integration, synergies and spill-over innovation opportunities. Facilitate and manage a culture of innovation within the group focused upon creating new technology value and solving existing technical challenges in alignment with the business strategies. Develop and manage metrics designed to monitor performance and improves efficiencies within the area. Ensure the information flows between the several internal and external customers and stakeholders. Promote scientific activities (i.e. seminars, congress participations, innovation ideas, papers and publications), innovation and implementation of new methodologies. Approve and adopt area documentation.  Develop and propose for approval the short and mid-term goals, annual budget and budget plan in line with the corporate strategy, in order to align activities with Hovione strategic objectives.Achievements: Coach and team development Project selection based on Strategy and business Built internal culture of innovation by leading internal initiatives

From October 2014 to March 2016, I was a consultant at the Euro-Funding Advisory Group - a consulting firm focused on the areas of Research and Development, Internationalization and Innovation - where I was implementing projects for Small and Medium Enterprises, Large Companies, from different sectors and regions. The main activities included:+ Management of Research and Technological Development projects, large companies and SMEs from different sectors, business associations, universities and other organizations;+ Direct contact with the client;+ Management of internationalization projects and R & D of new products, processes and services;+ Coordination of communication between the client and public bodies, such as IAPMEI (Institute for Support to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Investment), ANI (National Agency for Innovation) and AICEP (Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal).+ Technical preparation and monitoring of national and international applications under public and private incentive programs;+ Analysis of the possibilities, provide advice and provide for obtaining or optimizing of the mentioned incentives;+ Study and analysis of the opportunities conferred by different national and international programs;+ Promotion of collaborative R & D processes around the different sectoral agents;+ Surveillance of European funding opportunities for the development of projects that fit the profile of different clients;+ Promotion and dissemination of the PT 2020 and H2020 in events.
