Population and Family Health semester course: The Public Health Impact of Sexually Transmitted Infections

2-year Fellowship program in partnership with California Department of Public Health, University of California at San Francisco, University of California at Los Angeles, and California’s Local Health Jurisdictions. Fellows support LHJ host sites by conducting communicable disease prevention and control, community engagement, and emergency response activities.- One of 45 trainees chosen out of 900+ applicants by UCLA, UCSF, and California Department of Public Health as the first cohort in counties across CA.- Developed and managed CA state initiative program, Don’t Think Know, promoting free confidential Chlamydia and Gonorrhea testing for Solano County residents- Counseled and tested 40 clients as a CA certified HIV test counselor- Coordinated several health education/promotion campaigns both in-person and through social media, partnering with community based organizations in the county, developing marketing strategies to target various communities.- Maintain relationships and provide resources for community partners in the county for Free HIV/STD testing, linkage to care, and harm reduction strategies.- Wrote health columns representing Solano Public Health for The Daily Republic- Assisted Sr. Health Education Specialist and Project Manager in writing Resolutions to recognize health awareness days for the County Board of Supervisors.- Work with Health Education Specialists, county Epidemiologists, and Surveillance Coordinators to develop project plans focused on health education, resource distribution, testing, and policies for Solano county.

Focused on maternal mortality, birth justice, health equity, legislative projects, reproductive health, period poverty, and homelessness; hosting community events providing a safe space/platform for women, girls, and all individuals within the county to tell their stories. - Appointed by Vallejo City Council (California) to represent the city of Vallejo on the Commission.- Served on the Women’s History Month work group to deliver county-wide campaigns, including hosting a virtual event (2022) and a county-wide in-person luncheon (2023)- Partnered with Touro University California Medical School to address period poverty and assembled menstrual/personal hygiene kits for elementary and middle schools in the Vallejo Unified School District.- Organized the annual Birth Justice Solano event in collaboration with medical professionals (OBGYNs, NPs, Nurses, Midwives), Doulas, Maternal Health and Public Health experts, and community organizers to host a community/county-wide event for mothers, families, parents, pregnant people both virtually and in-person, totaling to 200 attendees.- Managed all Commission social media platforms (Website,Facebook, and Linkedin)- Grew Personal Network within Solano County and established relationships with community organizations and government employees for future projects.

The Educated Birth creates and curates inclusive reproductive health education and storytelling content. We create infographics and illustrations that reproductive health workers can purchase to use as teaching tools. We also publish educational information for the general public through writing, video, and audio — including but not limited to Life's Work documentary, and Everyday Birth Magazine.

Manage all patient care measures for Valdez Medical Corporation for 300+ patients- Pre-chart patients in time for appointment, fulfilling orders noted by the physician such as medications, refills/prescriptions, labs, follow-up appointments, and referrals.- Processing insurance, billing, and collecting copay- Meet quarterly patient preventative health metrics on Coseva (BP control, Cervical Cancer Screening, Breast Cancer Screening, etc.)- Conduct monthly chronic care calls for Medicare patients and schedule Annual Wellness Visits

The Coalition for the Institutionalization of Free Menstrual Products (CIFMP) is a Wellness Fund supported initiative that aims to maximize the wellness of menstruating students through supplying and distributing free menstrual products in various accessible locations on campus. - Created social media graphics to advertise on-campus services - organized and recruited volunteers for restocking of menstrual hygiene products on campus facilities- maintained inventory of menstrual products

{m}aganda magazine is a student-run literary publication based at the University of California, Berkeley. Founded in 1989, it has evolved from its beginnings as a bi-annual magazine, and is now a diverse anthology of submitted work that is published once a year. We serve as a vital forum for the presentation of diverse experiences and opinions through all platforms for creativity–including art, prose, poetry, film, music, journalism, music, dance and more! This digital space is an extension of our print legacy and an effort to provide a platform for new and innovative digital forms of art that cannot be fully captured in our printed publication.Served as the Editor-in-Chief of the longest student-run Pilipinx-American literary-arts publication in the nation. - served for Issue 32: "Indak" (Intern), Issue 33: "Babae(x) (EIC), Issue 34: "Kapwa" (EIC)- Raised over $2,000 as a project manager and ambassador for Maganda Magazine’s Berkeley crowdfunding campaign, 2020- Reached a 1,000 follower growth on Instagram within 9 months (2020-2021)- Managed digital publication platform which included community submissions, various media, alumni network, donations, and open submissions to showcase work of people globally- Growth of +100 likes on Maganda Magazine Facebook page, (now 1,300 likes)

Generation Flow. is a women’s health and wellness organization focused on ending the stigma of menstruation and providing those in need with hygienic menstrual products while fighting period poverty and promoting menstrual equity.- led board meetings, facilitated educational, career, and wellness workshops for members and general public- organized campaigns with other UC Berkeley student organizations centered on health equity to promote awareness and wellness- Led fundraising events such as donating over 40 menstrual cups in collaboration with MinaCup, Back To School feminine hygiene products drive for MLK Jr. Middle School, and created and donated period kits for global outreach organizations- Facilitate board meetings and workshops in collaboration with local (bay area) researchers, medical professionals, and political leaders
