In this role, I lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the IFLA Academy program: a workforce training program for those working in violence, injury, and substance abuse prevention in Louisiana. I am also the leader of IFLA, a coalition composed of subject-matter experts representing their perspective agencies, whom are partnering to prevent violence and injury. I started this job the day we had the 2020 shutdown, so I had to essentially redesign the training program for a virtual setting and then readjust to an in-person trainings after we got the clear to go back in person for 2022. Though the COVID-19 has had a significant impact on my job, the challenges have taught me how to adjust and I am truly grateful for these experiences.

I taught a university course called, TAYLOR Your Life, a two hour credit course containing 15-20 students per semester from all class standings and majors. TAYLOR Your Life is an innovative career development lab that teaches students how to approach their future with the mindset of a designer. As a health promotion specialist, my primary duty was to provide health education to our students.
