I believe people are the ultimate adventure. At the age of 18 I dropped out of college. Young, alone and burnt out, I worked 3 jobs while pursuing 19 credit semesters. I was left broke, exhausted, and hopeless. I washed dishes, cleaned tables, and made people coffee for a living, until I decided that was not how I wanted to live. With $32 to my name and a credit card, I bought my first DSLR camera. See, before I dropped out of school, I had worked incredible internships where I learned the importance of beautiful images and good marketing. The passion I had during those jobs was a resounding echo I could not forget. One Thursday evening, after my morning dish washer shift, I sat at the window of the Starbucks across the street from my house and created Azulejo Media. Azulejo Media started off as just a dishwasher taking photos of whoever would give her a chance- and in the past two years, has flourished into much more. Side gig after side gig, I took on more clients. - Social media management, marketing, and imaging for small businesses. - Branding management and production for international corporations. - Website design and development for the daily blogger. - Photography and image postproduction for those looking to preserve their memories. If there was a need, I found a way to execute such project. Two years ago, I did not know that my life would turn into traveling around the world doing what I loved. That others incredible stories and life experiences would touch my craft through the form of invitation. - Summer of 2019 I was flown out to Mexico City for a week to capture an Auburn University study abroad program. - Winter of 2019 I travelled across Europe for a month capturing stock images for Notre Dame University. - New Years Eve of 2020 I took photos for a couple in Amsterdam who turned out to be Thai pop star millionaires. - Fall of 2021 I captured an intimate Day of the Dead celebration for the editor in chief of the LA Times en Español. Through every country & every city. Every party & every private event. Every client & every company. I learned the most important part about this industry. People are the ultimate adventure, and my work focuses on the most important part... telling the story.
