Aspiring Respiratory Physiotherapist | Physiotherapy Student with a Passion for Cardiopulmonary Health 🌬️💪Hello! I’m a motivated physiotherapy student with a focused interest in cardiopulmonary physiotherapy, striving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with respiratory challenges within the ICU and community. With a solid academic foundation in movement science and psychology, paired with hands-on clinical experience, I am passionate about advancing my skills in a field where evidence-based practice, empathy, and technical expertise intersect.I began my academic journey with a Bachelor’s (Honours) in Human Kinetics, majoring in Movement Science and minoring in Psychology from the University of Windsor (2021). This education has given me a deep understanding of biomechanics, human anatomy, and the psychological aspects of patient care—knowledge I apply daily as I pursue my Master’s in Physical Therapy at Glasgow Caledonian University (2026). I’m driven to build expertise in cardiopulmonary health, where I can blend my clinical knowledge with my strong interest in holistic, patient-centered care.In my clinical experiences so far, I’ve developed practical skills in respiratory care, including techniques like airway clearance, breathing retraining, and pulmonary rehabilitation. I’m also learning to tailor these therapies to individual patient needs. I am particularly interested in how comprehensive, team-based approaches can enhance patient outcomes and am continuously inspired by the latest research on respiratory interventions and rehabilitation practices. My approach to healthcare is both collaborative and proactive—I believe in the power of interdisciplinary teams to deliver the highest quality of patient care. I’m committed to using my growing knowledge and skills to empower patients, helping them regain control over their breathing, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life.💡 I am currently seeking opportunities in respiratory physiotherapy, where I can apply my skills, continue learning, and support a team dedicated to improving respiratory health and patient recovery. I am particularly interested in placements, internships, or entry-level roles that will allow me to work hands-on with respiratory patients and gain further exposure to this specialized area of care.Let’s connect if you’re interested in discussing respiratory physiotherapy, healthcare innovation, or exploring potential collaborations in cardiopulmonary health and rehabilitation!
