Provides prompt and thorough investigation and resolution into complex and sensitive employee relations issues in accordance with workplace policies and procedures and in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.- Develop investigative plans, conduct thorough investigations and document investigative findings reports and summary letters.- Facilitate resolution of employee issues and concerns in conjunction with HR, the employee, and management.- Partner and consult with legal counsel and HR Business partners.- Ensure HR Policies are relevant and up to date to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.- Provide executive summary of workplace concerns, case numbers, trends, insights and actions to reduce legal risk.

Equity & Employee Relations Specialist IIConducts investigations of internal complaints of discrimination, harassment, and bullying from FCPS employees, parents and students and makes recommendations to management per findings.• Writes investigative reports and findings letters to complainants and accused.• Conducts and facilitates conflict resolution mediations between FCPS employees.• Creates, develops and delivers training on HR issues (e.g. sexual harassment, diversity awareness, discrimination and harassment, employee relations, how to investigate complaints of discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment and bullying.)• Reviews and provides feedback with development of regulations for FCPS. - Determines if employees requesting accommodations are qualified individuals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and engages in the interactive process between the manager, treating physician and employee to grant assistance or accommodations.- Works with management to grant religious accommodations.• Advises and assists all levels of management and employees on HR issues.• Assists attorneys with legal matters for court presentations or federal and state compliance agencies.
