Job SummaryThe Business Development Manager assists with identifying, investigating, and evaluating new business opportunities and alliances that promote the organization's objectivesDevelop strong relationships with key users / owners and specifying officials to ensure Tyco Fire Protection products are listed as a proprietary or preferred vendorUnderstand and advise on applications, and in supporting the pre-bid design process were appropriate.Job Responsibility• Familiarity of Fire Detection market, including competitor products and able to leverage the advantages in Tyco's products in various applications.• Focus on the Fire Class Fire Detection Product range• Provide onsite technical training to Architects, Consulting Engineers, AHJs, End users / owners and Key accounts• Coordinate with sales personnel to advice on upcoming projects and to ensure a timely hand over for pricing and execution.• Identify and maintain a 1- 3 year pipeline of potential projects.• Identify the needs and support sales and technical training programs for internal and external representatives.• Conduct research and analysis of business opportunities assessing potential market segments in line with the company strategic plan• Explores and builds partner relationship to develop and / or enhance business alliances• Required to attend trade shows with different conferences both educational and customer oriented• This role would be expected to travel, frequency estimated around 40-60%.
