One of the most valuable lessons my father taught me as an ambitious teenager was that any job worth doing was worth doing right. After helping me load the truck at my lawn cutting jobs, he would often point out the superior result from paying just a little more attention to the details - edging the sidewalk, sweeping the street, mowing the grass in a unique pattern.With this early-instilled passion at my core for doing the job right, two key things have driven my success in business - recognizing that employees are a company’s most valuable asset, and exceeding the customer’s expectation in product performance, delivery and service. I have successfully recruited, trained and mentored employees, marketed and sold new and existing products to thousands of customers, treated vendors with respect, and communicated in a positive, collaborative fashion with all facets of the organization. Possessing a passion for learning and an ability to lead and inspire others has enabled me to deliver consistent revenue and profit growth despite recession or slow market growth cycles, in the construction/building products industry.Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family at the lake, cycling, kayak fishing and yes, even doing yard work.
