Starting in our financial vertical, I quickly became the key person on a project for one of our Fortune 100 banking partners. I maintained and iterated on a static site generator built in React, where I refactored the way we handle legal data, created the project's first recursive components, and added the GSAP (Greensock) library to better handle complex animations. After that, I was able to train a few people to take over the project so that I would gain exposure to the diverse range of partners we work with. Currently, I work mainly in React and Vue. Some of my work was nominated for a Cannes Lion in 2023.

In 2018 I was accepted to participate in a twelve week, full-time, immersive course focused on front and back end web development. The course is crafted by top practitioners in the field, with a specific focus on expediting my path to a web development career. Through 480+ hours of face-to-face instruction, presentations, coding sprints, discussions, guest lectures, interactive lessons, real-world client projects, and personable mentoring, the course provided a rounded understanding of the entire web development process. The core focus of the course was on the MERN stack (MongoDB/Mongoose, Express, React and Node), supplemented by honing skills in Git/Git Hub, Vanilla JS, jQuery, SQL/Postgres, EJS, SAAS, HTML5, CSS3, and more.

After moving to Austin, Texas, I decided to renew my passion for freelancing by extending my services to various local businesses in Texas and California, contracting work through agencies, and offering my design/development services to Twitch streamers and content creators on YouTube.

Combining my graphic design expertise and gaming passion, I produced tutorial and case study videos on YouTube and streamed design and gaming content on Twitch. This effort led to the formation of a close-knit community centered around like-minded peers, all dedicated to personal growth and enjoyment of the craft.

Sacramento, California Area

In 2011, I joined the public relations team at Sacramento State University to help with the volume of digital and print advertisement requests from the various departments, colleges, and the president of the school. This job quickly turned into something much more when I took it upon myself to start the university’s Instagram account and earned my way onto the Sac State's mobile app development team. From there, I had the opportunity, under the direction of the university’s marketing director, to work on all of the school’s major design campaigns, most notably the new Title IX campaign and the rebranding of the university.
