Motivated and experienced teacher of 17 years with experience in curriculum planning, designing, and instruction. Teamwork and communication are also key skills that have led to my success in the field. Throughout my tenure teaching I have managed various projects including yearbook, Eighth Grade Trip, written grants for school resources, and prom. As Site Director for the after school program I have managed staff, kept accurate reporting and financial records, and supervised a program with 60 students enrolled. I am the 2023-2024 Cheatham County High School Teacher of the Year and the 2023-2024 Cheatham County School District's High School Teacher of the Year.I also have experience with leadership of non-profits organizations. I am the current President of Nashville in Harmony, Nashville's LGBTQ+ musical arts organization whose mission is to build community and create social change through music. As president, I oversee three musical ensembles including the Nashville in Harmony adult chorus of over 130 voices, the Major Minors youth chorus with 30 voice, and the Nashville in Harmony Pride Band with 65 members! As President I am responsible for managing the organization, keeping accurate records, presiding over Board meetings, budgeting, and future growth of the organization. In 2024 we are celebrating our 20th anniversary with performances at the Schmerhorn Symphony Center, Parthenon, and Ryman Auditorium.
