Network Administration for customer Enterprise, working with a team of Network Administrators/Engineers and Information Systems Security Engineers to update and maintain network operations. Duties also include; Standup and maintain Enterprise Solutions for Windows System Update Service Server, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, upgrade FTP and Windows Imaging Server. Also introducing VMWare vSphere 6 Enterprise Plus to the Enterprise in order to manage current and future virtual server and workstations environment. Stand up and maintain network monitoring and auditing using Solar Winds and Nessus for Information System Security Officers to use to perform continuous monitoring. Was also the lead in cleaning up DNS and adding Windows Server 2012R2 to the Enterprise and upgrading the Functional Level of the Forest and Domain from 2003 to 2008R2

Kandahar

Senior Network Engineer and Systems Administrator for deployed mission network in Afghanistan. Responsibilities included mainlining and updating mission network as well as maintaining mission data integrity. This data was used by the warfighter on a daily basis and needed to be backed up, duplicated and disseminated. Daily duties also included playing the role of an Army Helpdesk Information Management Officer for various base-wide networks, responsible for software patches, creating and maintaining user and computer accounts, and inputting tickets into remedy system. Also responsible for the SharePoint Administration maintaining the website for an OCONUS mission on a daily basis, responsibilities included the initial setup, design, and population of the site hosting project requirements.

Senior Administrator for Special Project, my responsibilities included daily activities to include maintenance of Active Directory, day-to-day server administration, network backups, virus definition updates, Operating System Security Patches and end user support, and preventive maintenance. Duties also included working closely with the Security Team in ensure all DCID 6/3 requirements were met and planning for the ICD 503 implementation. Also, as part of the team, I provided surge support administrator maintaining network operations when needed on a weekly basis. This included the setup and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Server Update Service and Microsoft Office Communicator Server. The duties also included; working with a team of Network Administrators and Information Systems Security Officers to setup and maintain network operations for deployed networks while maintaining security compliance

Responsibilities included participation in DCID 6/3 policy implementation guidance in the certification and accreditation process. This also consisted of Hardware/software inventory, installation, and upgrades. During this time, I attended the ICD 503 training held by the customer; this is now required for Information System Security Officers. My role also included the part as the primary Administrator for customer network running Microsoft 2000/2003 Server, Exchange Server 2003, Outlook 2003 client Windows XP Workstation in a client-server environment. During this time, I had the task of upgrading Security Level of the network with no downtime to user activity. My duty also included the setup, perform, and verify nightly, weekly, and monthly backups for Exchange Enterprise Server, as well as complete backups for two File Servers. As part of a team, I was also a Member of Network Engineering Group for the Westfield’s Enterprise Network and participated in the migration/refresh for the Enterprise network to include next generation of Operating Systems and Application Services. Site Administrator for Special Projects to include network operations backup, virus definition updates, user support, and preventive maintenance.
