The SCimPulse Foundation (NGO) aims to impulse innovation through scientific approach, for the discovery and diffusion of those invisible elements that create the difference between “business” and “progress” beyond “innovation” and “sustainability”, to explore the particular details that contribute to create extra-ordinary achievements and make them accessible to people who have the intention of contribute with humanity’s growth and expansion. The human (social/organizational) aspect is the biggest achievement and by formatting the "soft" experience of those communities in easy delivery packages, we can translate those into usable bits for the common man. The foundation hosts an open network where innovation projects can happen in a sandbox environment; a laboratory where data and property are not as important as the generation of knowledge. We collaborate with advanced scientific and academic institution to bring humanity to a higher level of development, beyond traditional radar exploration. We set the scenario via a double approach: through the discovery of hidden knowledge, and through the facilitation of experimental environments. We facilitate learning from outliers and advanced organizations to share the experiences of people who come from advanced communities with the rest of the world. Making financial performance transparent on all levels (from strategic/tactical to operational) for all divisions (sales, operations, R&D) taking a global approach --- Historical analysis, future projection and performance tracking to find improvements and spot opportunities helping not only the assigned crops – but- always having the organization as a whole as a priority.Next to this – Nunhems offers me the opportunity to be involved in multiple projects cross crop, cross functional and cross borders. Here I can fulfill my need to experiment with- and develop new- value management (tools), propelling innovation and contribute throughout the organization (all levels-all crops- all functions – all countries) to enhanced decision making (not everything that can be measured adds value….not everything that adds value, can be measured). New pricing tool, adapted BCG, adapted ROCE, cross functional KPI aligner (so the different KPI’s communicate with each other) are some of the things I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to develop for Nunhems.Profit, market performance -EVA -IRR- NPV- ROI- ROCE – BCG matrix…….all good instruments but they need tailoring to serve their purpose for the organization and create the transparency they should – this is where my profession can create value.
