Project coordination, technical report writing, and quality control for cultural resource assessment projects. Projects include Phase I, II, and III cultural resource assessments, archaeological monitoring, and archaeological/historical interpretation. Projects conducted on behalf of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, US Army Corps of Engineers, Florida Department of Transportation, and various environmental consultant and development companies.

I work on all aspects of projects from data collection and analysis to writing and presentation (technical, academic/scholarly, and public). Conflict/Battlefield Archaeology: Metal detection survey, battlefield delineation, KOCOA analysis, analysis and interpretation of late 18th and early 19th century munitions.Coastal Ecology: Modeling paleoenvironmental coastal landscapes and coupled human-environmental ecosystems.Soil coring and analysis. Includes: Core sampling using vibracorers and manually operated devices, stratigraphic description, texture analysis, particle size, and soil sampling.Geovisual reconstructions using GIS. Includes: Geomorphological site formation, anthropogenic site formation, diagramming profiles and features, time lapse visualizations of anthropogenic landscape modification. Experience using ESRI software and QGIS.Archaeological services: survey and excavation, research design creation and implementation, grant writing, report production, project management, and archaeological/historical interpretation.Archival research and historical writing.

Labwork includes: Cleaning, organizing, identification, cataloging, and curation preparation.

I worked on a variety of projects semester-to-semester including my thesis data extraction.Analyzed, described, and processed GeoProbe and vibracore cores and sections from Crystal River. Worked including describing stratigraphy, drawing profiles, photographing cores, taking soil samples, and collecting samples to be screened. Texture analysis which included collecting sand for particle grain size analysis. Preparing soil samples for radiocarbon dating and pollen identification. Data entry into excel tables and creation of section pages using Golden Software's Strater 2 program. Digitial elevation model (DEM) and other 2D and 3D modeling using ArcGIS 10 including ArcScene. I worked on two CRM-based projects for Hillsborough County serving as Field Supervisor and Field Director. I worked on the projects from beginning to end. Fieldwork on one project involved supervising and assisting students. Fieldwork on the second project included planning sampling strategy, directing, and performing survey with limited staff of employees and volunteers. Organized, processed, and cataloged artifacts. Technical writing involved archival research, environmental setting, and description of newly identified sites.Other projects included identification and organization of mollusk and shell tool teaching collection.

Archaeological Field Methods: Served as field supervisor for use of a total station, Phase I survey, and Phase II testing.North American Archaeology: Assisted with classroom activities and grading.Archaeological Field School: Classroom instructor and field supervisor. Taught basic field methods and soils. Directed crews for operation of electrical resistivity equipment, site-wide grid creation, site testing, lab sorting, maintenance of recovery logs, and general logistics.
