DESIGNATION: DESIGN ENGINEER.DURIATION: Since Feb 1ST 2017 to till date. Responsible for design of various press tools using CATIA V5 Decision of METHOD PLAN, die planning for component and CONTROL PLAN. Complete design of press tool dies such as draw, trim, and restrike flanging, pie C-trim and combination die etc.., for BIW and skin panels for different customers. Calculations of draw force, blank holder force, cutting load, flanging load, stripping load, spring force, component lifting force etc. Decide the blank holder travel, steel entry for trim & flanging, pad travel, component lifter travel, cam slider travel, gas spring stroke, pre holding pin travel, spring plunger travel etc. Study of press data, decide the loading height of the tool, scrap length cutting condition, gauge position, motion curves in case of transfer dies, ejection systems, specification of standard parts etc. Decide the tool timing diagram, heel guide engagement, pillar and bush engagement, engagements of lifting assemblies etc. Preparation of bill of material, checking of pattern. Control and maintain the design standard of the products.
