Provide leadership to cyber security and IT technical staff to plan and implement information security initiatives and collaborate with business and IT leaders in setting cybersecurity policies, standards, and action plans.Lead Payments Canada’s cyber security program to support the business objectives of Payments Canada ensuring that Payments Canada’s cyber security policies, standards and infrastructure remain sound, that risks that could impact the organization’s ability to achieve its cyber security objectives are identified, monitored and managed and that all Payments Canada employees are aware of their duties and responsibilities with respect to cyber security and privacy.

Responsible for conducting research and analysis, and providing advice on cyber issues that may impact the CPA systems and the Canadian payment system more generally.- Co-Lead ESAOG, a cross divisional security group created to openly discussand recommend remediation for security issues and events.-Active member in external financial institute working groups.-Lead the multi-year security initiate – Approach to Cyber.-Provide advisory services for information security and risk management issues, policies, standards, projects, audits, etc. for Payments Canada and its external members.-Work extensively with NIST Cyber Security Framework and ISO 27001/2.-Conduct security and risk analysis including IT vulnerability and risk assessments, risk control evaluation, security requirements identification and verification.-Analyze security related events, system logs, and identifying information requiring further investigations.-Incident management.-Identify and recommend actions on emerging threats to the association and business systems.-Identity and access management on z/OS ACF2/ ISPF , RSA Secure ID, Entrust SMA, Okta, etc.
