11 years in the British Army as an Ammunition Technician specialising in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD). I spent much of my time fine tuning my skills to be an effective member of an EOD team, I then progressed to become the team commander, and completed my service as an Advanced IEDD Instructor. I deployed to Afghanistan in 2013, operating in an ammunition support role. I worked closely with NATO forces to ensure ammunition sustainability and explosive safety. I also deployed to Northern Ireland in 2019 as an EOD Team Commander, responsible for any explosive security alerts across the province.Some great relationships formed in some not so great places, the British Army allowed me to learn and develop personally and professionally in preparation for new challenges ahead.
