About Stephanie Smith
I am currently working within the disability and NDIS space, working with clients who present significant risk from behaviours of concern. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, I have a succinct knowledge of the NDIS legislation and Restrictive Practices. I continue to implement positive behaviour support strategies across home, school, and community environments with clients. My practice is person-centred, client focused, holistic, and integrates stakeholder communications to ensure clients receive the most appropriate support as possible. Focusing on an increase in quality of life while decreasing and mitigating the potential risk from behaviours of concern and regulated restrictive practices. I have also recently finished my honours degree in Psychological Science at the University of Adelaide. I'm hoping to obtain a Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology, in the field of child development, learning and intellectual disorders; specifically, Adolescent Autism/ADHD. I am very passionate about childhood mental health and disability. I am also strongly passionate about changing and supporting disabled youth within the education system, ensuring fairness and equality is upheld to the highest standards.
