Ssonko Patrick is the co-founder and managing director of Neriko Electronics Limited;- a Ugandan registered electronics design startup company located in the heart of Kampala, Uganda's capital. He trained in computer engineering at Mbarara University of Science and Technology. He has a reputable experience in electronics, embedded systems design and embedded software development.Patrick worked as the co-creation Lab Manager for the Consortium for Affordable Medical Technologies (CAMTech)- Uganda from 2013 to Sept 2016.In 2014, he served as a teaching assistant in the department of computer engineering at Mbarara University of Science and Technolgy. Patrick is passionate in reverse engineering for resource constrained applications. He has worked on a number of projects which include PRISMS an sms based medical decision support tool for managing sick neonates,a digital infusion monitor and control device, an automatic surgical suction pump controller and a wireless physiological monitor (HR,SpO2,Temp) among others while at CAMTech.While at CAMTEch, Patrick was the project engineer for the modular continuous airway pressure (mCPAP) project which was being housed in the CAMTech Uganda co-creation Lab. He led the development of a functional mCPAP prototype.Patrick is the TME Education ambassador in Uganda. He organizes and facilitates free training workshops at High school, tertiary/vocational and university levels in Uganda.
