I am a partner in the Corporate Tax Department of Altum Partners, LLP, working in public accounting since 2002. I have worked with a wide range of entity clients and have extensive experience with tax compliance and tax planning, including tax return preparation, tax provision computations, international tax planning, and assistance with income tax audits. I have advised clients with respect to sales, property and franchise taxes, Section 382 studies, transfer pricing, and mergers and acquisitions. I've worked on a wide range of corporate clients involved in many different industries and ranging from small startup businesses, to large, multistate and multinational public corporations. I focus largely on technology companies of all types including software, SaaS, hardware and biotechnology. I have assisted several clients through the process of an initial public offering. I have addressed the complex tax treatment of numerous issues with clients such as stock option accounting, research and development credits, acquisitions, uniform capitalization and the changing world of state tax apportionment. I also have considerable experience with limited liability companies and S corporations. I am one of the founding members of Altum Partners and strive to provide the best possible outsourced tax services to all my clients.I received my Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with emphasis in Accounting and Bachelor of Arts in Communication, both from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I graduated with honors and distinction in my majors. I also completed my Masters in Taxation from San Jose State University and am a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants..
