I am responsible for the implementation of external communication channels and building sound relationships between Connexus Energy, our members, targeted media and the communities we serve. I am also responsible for implementation of internal communication channels and helping build a culture where employees can understand and support business operations and direction. I participate in the development of external and internal communication strategy in support of company strategies, business operations and initiatives.

I improved the quality and quantity of employee communications at Connexus Energy. This included developing and posting content on our intranet, helping communicate key change initiatives and coordinating monthly employee meeting agendas, speakers and follow-up messaging.

Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

I was responsible for managing and creating content for the Mom Enough website, social media postings and a weekly subscriber newsletter. Another important function was scheduling guests and creating an interview flow for podcast recording sessions, followed by promoting the show internally and externally once it was posted. Planning, marketing and executing a yearly event was another key responsibility.

As a side hustle for Minnesota Shopping Center Association’s annual STARR Awards Ceremony, I designed a one-page newsletter insert, 24”x36” project nomination boards (12 to 17 boards), a PowerPoint presentation for the awards ceremony (over 100 slides) and four winner pages for the association newsletter.

As the Communications Coordinator, I worked with a public relations agency to create and distribute press releases, coordinated advertising (creative direction, contract negotiations, insertions and submissions) in more than 30 publications, prepared more than two dozen award submittals and collaborated on corporate branding, seasonal promotions and industry conference displays.

In my role as Marketing Coordinator, I wrote and produced one to three proposal books per week and prepared PowerPoint presentations to help secure new projects for the firm. I also worked with photographers and architects to select project photography for hundreds of projects and used Photoshop to correct and enhance the photos.
