This position is responsible for the overall user experience of SPIE.org utilizing a broad knowledge of user experience and user-centered design principles. The User Experience Analyst partners with internal business stakeholders, design, and development teams and external vendors to assist in some/all phases of website project lifecycles to help create highly usable and intuitive interfaces, while balancing company business goals with the needs of the customer. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, brainstorming sessions to elicit business requirements, gather and utilize user research data, create wireframes, produce finished screens, write UX specifications, and build prototypes. In parallel, this person is responsible for developing, articulating, managing and enforcing requirements for the SPIE website that are consistent with the established direction.

Manage website for value-added reseller of barcode and wireless LAN technologies based in Bellingham, WA. Grew site from a 6-page starter site into global websites designed to penetrate and grow targeted markets in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany,France, Spain and Italy

Coordinated and implemented marketing communication projects with responsibilities that included public relations, special events management, advertising and media buys, marketing tool creation (brochures, promotional materials, direct mail, web content) and creating brand awareness.
