I was responsible for developing and managing the relationship between the Trade Unions and the Openreach leadership team. My principle role was to drive the business change agenda, working closely with the senior leadership team, and negotiating large scale change on behalf of Openreach with the trade unions. I was primarily responsible for negotiating changes to working practices, this includes the use of agency and third party contractors, changes to employment contracts, T&C’s, attendance patterns Policy, sickness absence reduction strategy, Proposition & Governance, Employee Relations and Employment Law.

I was responsibility for five call centres, with around 500 FTE delivering £253m per annum of contract value through inbound and outbound desk sales, in-life customer retention, as well as service and billing resolutions. Coupled with achieving customer satisfaction, cost reduction programmes, people leadership and delivery of service level targets.
