I took a short break away from the world of work to relax, travel, concentrate on some non-work projects and plot my next adventure.

I joined Write Research as a Client Director in 2012, responsible for a varied client portfolio, but by 2015 - and post-Capita acquisition - I was charged with the growth and development of the Consumer & Services Practice, leading a team of highly-skilled research and sales professionals, developing new clients for the practice, managing an existing client portfolio and assignment project management. I worked with some of the most talented people there is in the research/insight world whilst with the business and had just shy of five amazing years there. It was also an awful lot of fun, working with some incredible clients and being acquired by a FTSE 100 business along the way.

Exacta conducted research and insight assignments on behalf of both executive search firms and a range of organisations, across all sectors, around the world.I joined the business as a Research Consultant in early 2003, though was quickly promoted through Assistant Research Manager and Research Manager roles to Research Director; a role I undertook in mid-2004.I grew the business year-on-year, both in terms of revenue and team size. At its peak, pre-recession, a team of 8 Research Consultants and a two-person business development team reported in to me from two sites.As well as running every aspect of the business, covering sales, marketing, finance, HR, facilities, training, etc, I also personally handled many research/insight assignments for a number of key clients.

Frances Clarke supplied security, store detectives and surveillance services to a number of well-known retail businesses throughout the UK.I was initially employed as a Screening Officer based within HR, responsible for fully ten-year reference checking new employees. In this role I was also exposed to a variety of recruitment/HR-related responsibilities, including sifting application forms, selection, liaising with job centres/recruitment agencies, arranging interviews and providing ‘people administrative support’ to a number of Area Managers and a Regional Controller.When the Screening department broke away from HR in 2002, I was promoted to Screening Team Leader. In this role, reporting to the Training & Development Director, I lead the Screening department, where I managed a team of 4 Screening Officers, implemented a new screening procedure and advised the wider business on all screening/vetting related matters.

First job after graduating. Employed as a CSR within the Registrations department, providing customer service to new Orange customers and mobile phone dealers alike.
