Researcher at Istituto Superiore Mario Boella of Turin, then LINKS Foundation, since May 2009, as part of PhotonLab team, where I enforced my experience in:- project, realization and testing measurements of opto-electronic communication systems and devices in a photonic laboratory;- manual and automatic use of high-level opto-electronic laboratory instruments (e.g. oscilloscope, arbitrary waveform generator, optical spectrum analyzer, power meter, wavelength meter, etc.);- development of optical test plans and strategies; - execution and analysis of simulations in Matlab® and Simulink®;- project and realization of small electronic circuits and soldering of small opto-electronic devices onto printed circuit boards;- writing and exposition of technical papers and posters for scientific journals and international conferences (more than 90 papers in 9 years);- participation to several European projects focused on the physical layer of optical networks, for back-bone with glass optical fibers and access based on both glass and plastic optical fibers.

Stage at Agilent Technologies Italia S.p.A. from May to September 2003, where I was involved in the measurement activity of 10 Gbit/s Optical Transmitters for High-speed Optical Transceivers devices, at the end of which I prepared a graduation thesis named “Set-up and characterization of transmitter optical sub assemblies for 10 Gbps pluggable transceivers”
