Responsible for ensuring all employees (even management) follow the company's policy on Food Safety and Product Quality.QA Job Duties:• Create and maintain all QA Documents/records including Food Safety issues reports• Organize and upload all QC Records• Maintain specifications documents of products, raw ingredients and packaging.• Arrange for the COC for important lab equipment.• Conduct HACCP/GMP Audit (1x per year) one SQF and one CFIA Audit per year.• Document preparation for SQF and CFIA audits once per year.• Creating or revisions of the SQF System.• Conduct validation studies when required.• Conduct GMP Training for new employees as well as refresher training.• Prepare swabs and samples for 3rd party Microbiological testing• Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.Capability of executing QC Job Duties• Competent to use a thermometer probe and verify thermometer accuracy daily• Understanding of performing titration in order to determine the concentration of [Cl]• Ability to use test strips for residue checks and quick pH determinations• Understanding how to standardize and measure pH• Verification of accuracy of all scales in lab and in production• Ability to use sensory evaluation for product referencing• Competent in following formulation procedures for product development samples• Ensure production workers perform packaging and sanitization correctly.• Understanding of FIFO inventory• Understanding of Brix Machine, Water Activity Meter, Metal Detector, Viscosity Meter, Salt Indexer.• Keep QC lab clean and free of spills and contaminations• Ensure production workers perform batching as per formulation sheets• Have good record-keeping and organization of paperwork and paper trails
