About Steph Graham

My award-winning career began at my high school TV station, telling stories. My background is TV & Radio News Broadcasting, but in recent years I have leveraged my skills into PR/Marketing, Brand Management, Social Media, and Event Planning. I now work as a Senior Content Producer at Froedtert Health, and I love telling the amazing stories of Wisconsin's leading teaching hospital and Level 1 adult trauma center. Before Froedtert I was a Marketing Generalist at Perlick Corporation in Milwaukee. Family owned since 1917, Perlick provides innovative and customizable food and beverage storage and serving solutions. Previously I was PR & Content Manager at Steinhafels. I worked closely with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to tell a 'furniture story,' and engage customers online. As social and digital media become increasingly important, it's vital we constantly monitor analytics to be on-task, and driving sales.My professional career started in the small town of New Bern, NC, where I was a Morning Show Producer. I worked my way to Gen Assignment Reporter & Fill-in Anchor. However, the city was calling my name, so I moved to Milwaukee to become a Special Projects Producer at TODAY'S TMJ4. I worked on a variety of stories: From investigative, to health, to features. I also Field Produced big events, and produced newscasts. I am very proud of my work as Producer of the "Sports Auction 4 MACC"​ for many years. You also may have heard me on 620 AM radio doing News and Traffic. Finally, I was also the TV Newsroom Internship Coordinator, which gave me a chance to oversee and help college students learn more about TV News. As a Freelance Producer I am given a topic, and I work from the ground up to develop a compelling, broadcast-quality story. The process is very detailed... from creating thoughtful questions and b-roll requests for shoots with experts across the country, to logging tape, to writing the package with detailed edit instructions--in addition to writing an anchor lead and tag. My Executive Producer then reviews the story, and we work together to revise it, until we have a final voiced and edited version. The final script also includes contact and source information. It's a very fulfilling process when we have a final product to distribute to TV stations across the United States!

    As Special Projects Producer I help develop a wide variety of promotable stories for our 10 p.m. newscast--ranging from investigative, to consumer, to health, to feature stories. It is my job to help brainstorm story ideas, and think about ways to market the story. Once we have an idea, I make calls to find people to interview on the subject, and then work with a photojournalist and video editor to write and develop the story. I also fill-in as a Line Producer on various shows, and I took the iniative several years ago to help co-coordinate the Internship Program here at the station.
